Expanding Patient Care With Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS)
Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) transforms obstetric care by enabling real-time, bedside assessments that extend the physical examination. With POCUS, we can evaluate critical aspects of fetal health, including viability, presentation, well-being, placental placement, amniotic fluid levels, and biophysical profiles. This method empowers providers to make swift and informed decisions, enhancing patient care and outcomes.
Comprehensive Training for Optimal Accuracy
Our POCUS course combines a four-hour clinical workshop with hands-on practice, ensuring clinicians gain both knowledge and practical expertise. Participants will engage in peer evaluations of 25 ultrasound cases, fostering a collaborative learning environment. This training is designed to minimize provider-dependent errors, equipping clinicians with the skills necessary to perform limited ultrasound exams confidently and accurately during direct patient care.
